"Ouch My Arms!!!!!" This was what I drafted shortly after my first workout with Melody.

She is a master of the kettle bells for one thing and just super knowledgeable yet humble too. When I questioned a small detail of one of her statements she didn't "know it all" me  like many other trainers out there but rather said she would check on it. Later I sheepishly had to admit after doing my own research that she was right, therefore requiring me to do push-ups she said jokingly.

headshot.jpgMelody Schoenfeld, CSCS, CMT, RKC is a certified, highly educated personal trainer with almost 20 years of training experience in many different disciplines. In addition to an excellent success record in creating fun, individualized training programs that help people to reach their weight loss, athletic performance, and muscle gain needs, Melody has the following experience:

Pre- and Post- Operative and Injury Rehabilitation

Melody has studied with physical therapists and chiropractors, accruing considerable experience in injury rehabilitation. While serving as a training assistant to intramural football and soccer teams, she developed her skills in assisted stretching and warm-up exercises. She has helped with rehabilitation work with team members as well. Melody also is a CAMTC Certified Massage Therapist with significant training in various modalities, including Thai, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Swedish, Chair, and Deep Tissue massage.  Melody is currently in the process of obtaining her master's degree in Chinese medicine and acupuncture.

Melody is a Level 2 Certified Russian Kettlebell Instructor (RKC).

Melody is certified to administer Grey Cook's Functional Movement Screen (FMS).

Melody is a Certified Nutritional Specialist with the American Association of Sports Dietitians and Nutritionists (AASDN) and is available for nutritional consultations.

Melody is a Certified Indian Clubs Specialist (CICS), trained under modern day champion and pioneer of Indian Clubs, Dr. Ed Thomas.

Melody has had the honor of being an assistant instructor with the RKC twice so far.  She is an ex-amateur boxer, and has played on soccer and floor hockey teams. She has been dancing since the age of 3 (ballet, modern, jazz, ballroom, swing, Latin, and even a little Korean) and is an avid rollerblader.
