OK, so my idea of fun may be a little different from yours. But here are some of my favourite ways to train. Who knows-- maybe they'll become your favourites, too! :)
This is a swing with a 53lb. kettlebell (half my weight). Whee!
I heart pushups. (Who doesn't, really?) They're way more fun on an upside-down kettlebell.
This is a double-wave pattern with a 40lb. heavy rope. World's most dangerous game of double-dutch.
This is a (slightly wonky) lunge while one- shouldering a 50lb. sandbag (almost half my weight).
Indian clubs are one of the best ways I know to work the rotational aspect of the shoulder. These things have been around for at least 5,000 years-- and with good reason.
Windmill with 35lb. kettlebell-- GREAT way to work the musculature of the torso, the shoulder, increase flexibility, and a whole bunch of other things.
O sledgehammer workouts, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Oh, I cannot. There are too many ways I love thee. Starting with torso strength and shoulder strength and cardiovascular endurance and going on and on from there. Plus, it's fun to hit stuff. :)
FUN WITH GYMNASTIC RINGS!!
